Terri Basconi	Bethann West James

Two New Appointments at First State Bank

First State Bank continues to grow and recently it announced two new appointments. Terri Basconi and Bethann West James, both of Collinsville and Danville respectively, have joined First State to focus on lending and deposit opportunities, according to Kelvin Perry, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Basconi was named Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer.  She has more than 15 years of lending experience and most recently was employed by River Community Bank in Martinsville.  Basconi will supervise the commercial loan activities and assist businesses with securing loans to develop or grow new and existing ventures.  She recently helped First State Bank to secure a U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development $5.55 million Guaranteed Business and Industry Loan to a local business.

James has been named Vice President and Business Development Officer. In this newly-created position, James will lead initiatives to enable First State Bank to expand its capacity to service business and governmental clients, improve customer relations, and enhance marketing efforts.  Her primary objective will be to generate new client leads and retain deposits. James, a member of the management team, will also be responsible for coordinating outreach, as well as training and technical assistance activities.
